HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Boo, it's me Sienna.
OMG I can't wait 'till HALLOWEEN!
Only TWO days away in Canada, where I live.
In Australia where I was born it's only ONE day away. But they hardly celebrate Halloween.

Yesterday, my brother, Jera, and I carved pumpkins. Mine's not scary at all. It has square eyes and a "D" mouth. It looks funny. I had a friend over, so she carved one too. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait 'till Halloween.

This is me holding up my cute, non-scary pumpkin. His name is Bob. Bob is very heavy. He is also very orange.

I love Halloween. You go out at night and collect candy. All kids, probably 1-14 years old, are out on the street or at someone's house collecting candy. I'm twelve, turning thirteen on August fourth.

My favourite holidays are: Christmas, Halloween and My Birthday, because:
1. Christmas because u get to spend time with your family and get presents from Santa and decorate the tree.
2.Halloween 'cause u get to dress up in these spooky or non-spooky costumes and go around trick-o-treating. Also you get to hand out treats.
3.My birthday 'cause u get presents and age up.You get to do special things also. Plus you get spend time with your family.

So that's why I'm exited for Halloween!

This is my dad, carving Bob's head. Poor Bob!

This is Jera, (The boy in the gray top with the brown hair), Jenna (one of my friends who had a sleepover and stayed for caving pumpkins),  with brown hair pink shirt. And me, Sienna, in the blue shirt caving Bob. Bob,(Orange pumpkin that Jenna and I are carving).

Now some questions for you.
What are you going to dress up as?
Do you like Halloween?
Do you celebrate Halloween?
Do you like candy?
What kind of candy is your favourite?

Before I go, here are some spooky facts about halloween.

1. Halloween used to be called all hallows' eve.
2.People used to do a trick and then they would get a treat. Today you just get the mouth-watering candy.
3. On November 1, there was a holiday called Hallomas were people give out food to the poor.
4. In France, many years ago they celebrated Halloween on November 2.
5. The history of Halloween goes back almost two thousand years ago.

Vancouver Aquarium

Hi, it's me Sienna. A few weeks ago we went to the Vancouver Aquarium. This is a picture of me next to the Beluga Whales.

That night we slept next to them they glowed in the darkness. I got to sleep at 1am.

These Penguins just sat there 'cause there were new to the Vancouver Aquarium. The blue tags mean they're boys. The pink tag mean they are girls. One of the penguins went in the water for a little swim.

In this picture I'm holding a Monarch butterfly. It just landed on my hand. One of my friends called the butterfly that landed on him Bob.

This is a  dolphin doing a show for us. He did flips and dives. It was very interesting to watch.

This is me in with the frogs' habitat. There is a brown one with black spots in front of me, and a green tree frog camoflaged. Try and find it! There are about twenty frogs in this tank.

This is a sleeping snake curled up on a branch.Lets not wake up the snake.Shhh!

This an pretty electric blue bird. My mum took this picture. Thank u mum. My favourite colour is blue so this is my favourite colour of bird.

This is everyone that attended the overnight sleepover. I'm the third person on the left side.

After the Vancouver Aquarium we went to a beach.

This is me my twin brother Jera and my Dad searching for shells with me. We found a crab shell with no crab in it and some other pretty shells.

Last week, we went to the Vancouver Aquarium for an overnight camp with 30 other homeschoolers and their families. We slept with the Baluga Whales. Don't worry we didn't drown! We were sleeping outside the tank. After the Aquarium closed the doors for the night, we had a fun time exploring the marine labs and touching sea stars, sea urchins, crabs, anemones and snake skins. Then we were allowed to wander around the Aquarium and check out the other creatures in their habitats. When the lights went out the Belugas started to perform as if they where saying, "Watch meeeeeeeee".  It was amazing to sleep listening to their sounds as they swam. We didn't get to sleep until 1 am. Next morning we met the dolphins and watched them perform tricks. Our favourite was a porpoise (his name was Jack) who came up to talk to us, only we did not understand him. Oh well! We had a great trip!

Guiness Book of World Records

On Friday, we got together with a homeschooling group to do a little science lesson that's going to be in the Guiness World Records book 2013.

Bernoulli Principle states that for an inviscid flow, (a liquid that has no density or thickness), an increase in the speed of the fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in pressure or a decrease in the fluid's potential energy.[1][2] Bernoulli's principle is named after the Swiss scientist Daniel Bernoulli who published his principle in his book Hydrodynamic in 1738.[3] Taken from Wikipedia.

This is Doc. Don his explaining how to do the balloon experiment down here. He said some very interesting stuff.

This is what he was explaining in the picture above. You put the balloons above your head and blow. If you want to see what happens, press on the link to watch a video below.

You can do this at home if you want, it's easy. This experiment works as a sprayer. You just get a cup 2/3 filled with water. Get 2 straws, one little one and one bigger one. Put them together at an angle into the cup of water then blow hard.

This is me doing that experiment above. But my mum embossed the photo to make it look interesting.

If my instructions are not clear go to this link.

This is everyone in the Homeschoolers group who came to the Guiness Book of World Records Science experiment.
This record will be in  2013 Guiness World Records book.

Here's my certificate.

My collage of Perry The Platypus!

Hi, again my name is Sienna. From now on im going to but a different language "Hello". Like "Hola, Bok or just bonjour".

This is a collage of Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb.

All these pictures are off the Internet and it took me about half an hour to make this collage. I made it on paint. I would have liked a blue background but it blends to much with Perry, so I made it green. My favourite picture in this collage I made, is the 9th one on the left. What's your favourite one?

(In my other post: "Hi!!!! I'm excited," I forgot to say that I was born in Australia).

Yesterday, I found something in my bag I made a year ago it was a stress bag, using flour and a balloon. Now I have it with me at all times :) Here is a picture of it:

Also yesterday I also posted my first blog. Thanks to fourteen people for looking at my first post.

Hi!! I'm excited!

Hi, I'm new. This is my first blog and I'm excited!
This photo is of me with my pet dog, Buddy. We got him from the SPCA about 3 years ago.

I also have a twin brother Jera and we are both 13 years old.

We have 3 fish which are Jera's. Simsim, my Teddy bear hamster is my pet. Also Buddy who belongs to the whole family. He is a 12 year old black Lab Chow cross.

I have braces now unlike this photo. So my teeth are much more ducky (ducky is a old English for nice). My favorite color is blue. I love to ice-skate and hang out with all my friends. I also love the outdoors. I like playing on my computer also.

I'm homeschooled now and love it. In September we went to the Vancouver Aquarium for an overnight sleepover next to the Beluga whales. They looked as though they glowed in the darkness. The guides also gave us a tour and told us stories about the mammals and animals.

Thanks for reading my first blog post!
